This was a outtake from a later picture in this album when we were at Don and Mary Knowlton's house in Fenton, MI. Just playing around really.

This was a very old picture that he loved even though he didn't like his own picture in it. It was favored because he loved his buddy Joe Mapes.

OK, this is a beautiful scene that is hard to view entirely. It is Whitie and me up at Crab Tree Falls, VA in the Summer of 1987. Yep, you know who's taking the pictures, Jim. 😉 So even though Jim isn't in this it's one he took so you can see his mind's eye at the time.

Whitie had a blast in the mountains. Whitie had been with Jim from his birth under the trailer. He was the runt of the litter and may not even have made it without Jim bringing him in and feeding him because his bigger brothers and sisters pushed him out of the way all the time.

This picture even though it was small is it was Jim's first new purchased BUD (Big Ugly Dish) in our yard in Williamsburg, VA before we moved to Dendron years later. It is a 6' footer. This BUD replaced the huge solid white 8' dish we got from some folks in Pungo, VA. These were not Jim's first satellite dish though. His first was given to him by a local friend that was a client of Jim's. He had a 12' paraclipse satellite dish that Jim put out behind his shop near our home at that time in Williamsburg, VA.

Jim is a dog person. But the Root Cat got into his heart right from the beginning. Of course, Jim caught Root in the Christmas tree before I finally got him out of the tree. Thankfully we hadn't put put the decorations up yet. This was the reason that the Christmas tree lived in the foyer every year with French Doors between the tree and the Root Cat. 😉

This is a great picture of Jim with his buddy Joe Mapes and his good buddy Syd. The two of them flew Syd's beautiful plane from Stephen's Point, WI who were on a flying expedition and took the time to stop at our tiny Wakefield Airport to visit with Jim and me for a bit. Beautiful plane too. I don't think Joe realized it at the time, but he came on Jim's Mom's birthday, April 9, 2014. Very special visit all around.

OK, you are likely wondering why Lasagna is in this photo album. This was my birthday cake in 2014. Jim made me 'The Best Lasagna in the World" for my birthday cake and it was wonderful!

Cousin Frank Markley said, "The one with Jim was taken, I would guess, around 1961 or 1962 in Aunt Marie's front sunroom. I think it was the week between Christmas and New Year, and that's me on the left, with Bob and Ann, and Jim in the foreground. "

This was a picture of Jim's Uncle Frank Markley and his Cousin "Frankie" Markley. Sadly this year Uncle Frank also passed away and not that long ago. It is a lot for Jim's family in Ohio to lose both Uncle Frank and Jim in one year within a short time from each other.

This was a camping trip to the ocean along the Outer Banks of NC. Yep, Jim brought his own dish and set it up and under the tarp were the birds of course keeping them out of the sun but in the fresh air. As most of you know Jim loved his technology. And to take a dish camping at the ocean and at the mountains and setting it all up just to watch even an hour of battery powered TV was just too cool .

One of our joint projects in cooking. Jim would make the pizza dough, and the sauce all from scratch. The I would come down and cut up onion green pepper and mushrooms (sometimes even shitaki mushrooms yummm!) and at times add pepperoni as well and of course lots of cheese for homemade pizza dinner night.

OK you have seen these roses before. I mentioned earlier Jim would bring in roses and other flowers from the yard at odd times that he found particularly beautiful and put them in a vase and bring them to me for on my desk, or on the library/dining room table. He dearly loved nature and me so a great fit. 😀

More wonderful flowers Jim would bring me. These might be the same as the previous ones but both of these blossoms came from the same rose bush even though they are different colors...that's the Joseph's Coat rose bush for you. Beautiful and varied colors.

This is a picture of Jim when he was playing guitar in our yard over in Williamsburg. Jim developed it himself. Sorry about the size but the size is the size. You can make an image smaller but it's not pleasant to look at it pixelized if you go larger on a not so high resolution picture.
